How are bottles and cups durably printed or engraved?

Sustainable printing

In screen and transfer printing, we do not throw away ink, but reuse it for new pantone colors. We plan to implement a full recycling system of our ink for all our printing techniques. By reusing ink or using inkless printing techniques, we greatly reduce our overall waste. We are focusing on reducing misprints and print quality claims as a percentage of our total number of products printed.
Pad printing
This involves applying your logo to the product with a rubber stamp (the tampon). Each stamp has a different color. Thus, a logo with four colors is printed by four different stamps. Practically any shape can be printed with the tampon. However, the stamp is not very large, so mainly small printing areas are printed. This printing technique is often used for small surfaces on thermos cups or drinking bottle caps.
Digital printing
With digital printing, your files are converted directly to print. Digital printing is often done in full color and is especially inexpensive for small runs because there are no start-up costs. Flask uses this technique for lunch bags, white drinking bottles and lunch boxes.
Laser engraving
Most companies choose 1 color printing or laser engraving because it is cheaper but also because it is more stylish. A full color logo is nice to see from the giver (company) but the recipient who will use the bottle on a daily basis generally likes it better with a modest stylish print on his bottle.
