How hot is it, isn't it? Luckily, there are cups, bags and bottles from Retulp to make sure your food stays fresh and fruity. That way you always have a cold drink or salad on hand if you're in danger of getting too heated. There is always room in my house for beautiful reusable items.
The mission of Retulp is to reduce single-use plastic packaging. They make beautiful reusable alternatives, preventing a lot of plastic waste, and they donate clean drinking water to countries where that is not a given.
Ocean Edition Cooler Bag
My old cooler bag gave out after years of faithful service. When I saw this cooler bag I decided to go for a cooler backpack this time. Essential just to carry the groceries in, because one bike ride through the sun and the ice creams are limp with these temperatures. This bag looks like a regular backpack, but it's lined with cooling gas material.
Interesting side effect is that if you also place some cooling elements against the back part your back will be cooled as well. If you buy this bag, a donation goes to Club Kakatua, which places barriers in rivers under the motto "stop the trash" to prevent plastic waste from reaching the ocean. I'm ready for some more refrigeration.
Thermos pod
The Retulp thermos pod, aka the Big Mug, can hold a hefty portion of soup or breakfast. It is made of stainless steel has a bamboo lid with a holder that already holds a small handy spoon. The inside of the lid is not bamboo, which in combination with hot drinks seems to me to be sustainable. It holds 500 ml which is really a good meal portion. Because it has a relatively large filling opening it is easy to fill, nice to eat out of too and easy to clean.
Tumbler thermos
The Retulp stainless steel themed bottle is double-walled and shaped like a cup. You can put hot and cold drinks in it. Or soup, if you don't count that among drinks. It comes with a strainer so you can also infuse water with herbs or tea. This is easily clicked into the neck and there is a small hand grip to make it easy to take it out again.
A cold drink stays cold for 8 hours a hot drink stays hot for 6 hours. It closes securely and is available in a variety of colors.
One-time is outrageous
I see more and more people and businesses landing the idea that something needs to be done to prevent even more plastic from being used. Festivals are moving to reusable glasses, fries are in a cardboard tray. When I was on vacation in Cologne they even had a reusable stainless steel tray system with a deposit n then several companies participated in it. Really cool! I like to do my part by taking reusable items with me.
