Retulp & Scouts Waasmunster
We have set ourselves a goal for 2020: to avoid 20 million single-use plastic bottles and donate 20 million liters of drinking water to people who need it. You don't make change alone: that's why we want to make the Mission Indisposable 2020 possible with at least 20 companies. This week: the case of Scouts Waasmunster.
Scouts and Guides Waasmunster is a scouting group that exists since January 1, 1960 with the aim of letting children be real children. For a number of years, Scouts Waasmunster and the whole of Scouts and Guides Flanders have been trying to work on the theme of ecology. For this they have set up a special Ecology Team. With this Team they try to make local Scout groups think about their ecological functioning with the help of enthusiasm.
Theme ecology
For the theme of ecology, Retulp was able to supply sustainable drinking bottles for the members of Scouts Waasmunster. "This way we try to encourage the members to use the drinking cans during the scouts meetings, scouts weekend and scouts camp. But also in class, while studying and sports, for example. In this way, we make our members aware and, in addition, we give a signal as Scouts how important we consider the topic of ecology. With this, we hope to inspire other scout groups and offer help in setting up such an action," says Mieke of Scouts Waasmunster. Why they have come for Retulp? "Because we want the drinking cans to be quality, because of course in such a scouts meeting they have to be able to handle something :)". The designs on the bottles were created by the Scouts themselves. All three have something to do with Scouts and so they also hope to appeal to all ages.
