The plastic problem is growing every year, but the production of plastic is only increasing. And that has dire consequences for nature and the environment. That is why we want to turn off the plastic tap and open the drinking water tap again. We have set ourselves a goal for 2025: avoid 20 million disposable plastic bottles per year and donate 20 million liters of drinking water to people who need it. In 2023, we donated 14,243,600 liters of water and avoided 5,219,802 disposables. The goals for 2024 are to once again exceed the annual 20,000,000 and we will continue ambitiously with our partners and hopefully you!

Our mission can be summed up in 2 words: Mission Indisposable. Get rid of disposable packaging because single-use is outrageous. The future is reusable. And in addition Retulp in cooperation with Made Blue provides drinking water in developing countries. Establishing water points also prevents people from buying water in plastic bottles, so this in turn saves the amount of plastic waste that ends up in the environment. Stores contribute by selling Retulp bottles and thermos cups and companies help by ordering and giving away Retulp bottles with a logo or print. Help too, and join the wave! Why Mission Indisposable 2015-2025?

Retulp aims to avoid single use plastic. And it is much needed! Fortunately, there are super handy alternatives to disposable plastics, such as a reusable water bottle. Still, 500,000 (water) bottles are thrown away every day in the Netherlands. With Mission Indisposable we want to ensure that the plastic tap is closed more and the drinking water tap is opened.

Mission Indisposable is an initiative of Retulp, in cooperation with several partners. Retulp wants to ensure that plastic waste in nature and our oceans is greatly reduced. We offer convenient and reusable alternatives to single use items and educate in schools and conduct awareness and clean-up campaigns.
